Gresham-Barlow School District announces administrative changes
for next school year


The Gresham-Barlow School District today announced a series of administrative changes
for the 2015-16 school year.


Julie T. Evans has been selected to be the school districtís executive director of elementary education. Evans is currently the director of elementary education in the Medford School District. She has served in that position for three years. Prior to that she served as principal of Oak Grove Elementary School in the Medford School District for eight years. Before that, she served as dean of students at Hedrick Middle School in Medford.

Evans has 10 years of classroom teaching experience. She has taught middle school math, science, physical education, and calligraphy.† She earned her masterís degree in educational foundations, policy, and leadership from Portland State University and her bachelorís degree in elementary education from Linfield College. Evans replaces Linda Okazaki who will retire at the end of the 2014-15 school year.

Dr. Sara Hahn will become the school districtís executive director of assessment and accountability next year. She has 13 years of experience as a principal and currently works for Portland Public Schools. She has served as principal at Hallman, Hawthorne, and Duniway Elementary Schools. She is currently principal of Lents K-8 School.

She taught elementary school for 10 years before joining the administrative ranks. She earned her doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Oregon and her masterís in educational policy, foundations, and administration from Portland State University. She earned her bachelorís degree in elementary education from the University of Portland. Hahn replaces Tim Drilling who will retire at the end of the 2014-15 school year.
